Parton Branching in Color Mutation Model

The soft production problem in hadronic collisions as described in the eikonal color mutation branching model is improved in the way that the initial parton distribution is treated. Furry branching of the partons is considered as a means of describing the nonperturbative process of parton reproduction in soft interaction. The values of all the moments, 〈n〉 and Cq, for q = 2, · · · , 5, as well ...

AGK in the parton model

We propose pure quantum parton model of soft interactions. The model is based on soft partons which interact eikonally and locally in a transverse plane. We directly construct S-matrix operator and partons Fock space using developed method of discretization of a transverse plane. Counting inelastic states we explicitly derive AGK cancellations and cutting rules from relation between inclusive a...

DVCS amplitude in the parton model

We compute amplitude of deeply virtual Compton scattering in the parton model. We found that the amplitude up to the accuracy O(1/Q) depends on new skewed par-ton distributions (SPD's). These additional contributions make the DVCS amplitude explicitly transverse.

Parton Model Sum Rules

This review article discusses the experimental and theoretical status of various Parton Model sum rules. The basis of the sum rules in perturbative QCD is discussed. Their use in extracting the value of the strong coupling constant is evaluated and the failure of the naive version of some of these rules is assessed. This work was supported by the Director, Office of Energy Research, Office of H...
